Lee Ann Christensen, MBA '08“The Eller staff helped me to revise my resume to better reflect my experience and career goals.” On the Eller experience: I have nothing but positive feedback on the Eller MBA program. All of my classmates are friendly and take the time to help one other. Professors literally have an open-door policy and have very flexible office hours so that they can accommodate all students. The Eller staff does everything they can to assist students and answer their questions. On Eller faculty and curriculum: All of the core classes are helping me to prepare for my upcoming electives. I particularly like finance with Deborah Gregory. She makes the topics fun and we apply them to real-world scenarios. Everyone I know looks forward to her class. Another excellent class is business communications with Diza Sauers. Not only do we fine tune our presentation and communication skills but we do so by focusing our presentations on the same company, becoming an expert on that company. This gives us the opportunity to incorporate accounting and finance skills we learned in those core classes. On choosing Eller: I moved to Tucson from the Pacific Northwest. One of the main drivers for me was the weather. I’m also really outdoorsy and was excited about the hiking and mountain biking opportunities. I knew that Eller had an outdoor club which would give me the opportunity to meet people with the same outdoor interests as me. On her career goals: The Eller staff helped me to revise my resume to better reflect my experience and career goals. Another great thing about Eller is that the school also has a Master of Finance program. Even though I’m getting my MBA, all of those finance classes are open to me as electives so I have a wide variety of finance classes from which I can choose.
