Aleksander Ellis
Associate Professor
Department of Management and Organizations
Dr. Aleksander Ellis earned his B.A. in psychology in 1996 from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology in 2003 from Michigan State University. He is currently an associate professor of management and organizations in the Eller College.
Ellis has taught a number of courses in human resource management and organizational behavior at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research focuses on issues related to the effective utilization of group or team-based work structures and he has published more than a dozen articles in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. He is also on the editorial board for the Journal of Management and is an active member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Academy of Management.
Ellis has worked as a consultant for a number of organizations, including Raytheon, Dow Chemical, and Jackson National Life. Projects have focused primarily on revamping or improving organizations’ selection and training systems through processes such as job analysis and test development and validation.
