Jeffrey Schatzberg

Humberto Lopez Professor
Department of Accounting

Dr. Jeff Schatzberg is the Humberto Lopez Professor of Accounting in the Eller College Department of Accounting. He is a three-time winner of the College's MBA Faculty of the Year Award: 1998, 2002, and 2005. He is also the 1997 recipient of the Arizona Society of CPAs’ Excellence in Teaching Award.

Schatzberg’s scholarly interests lie in the areas of auditing and experimental economics and he is published in the major journals of his field, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory.

Schatzberg is a certified public accountant in Arizona and Iowa, and was a member of the professional staff in the Phoenix offices of KPMG Peat Marwick for two years, working as an auditor and tax accountant.
