Katrina Bens

Katrina Bens

Adjunct Lecturer
Department of Marketing

Katrina Bens is a visiting scholar in marketing at The University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. She holds an undergraduate degree from Williams College in Economics and Spanish, Master’s degrees from Cornell University (Agricultural Economics) and the University of Pennsylvania, and is completing her Ph.D. in marketing at the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to starting her Ph.D., Katrina spent four years in Latin America working for a consulting company and S.C. Johnson.

Bens’ research focuses on how market and customer orientations impact firms’ financial and competitive performance. She has conducted multiple large scale national surveys and her analyses have been published in academic journals such as Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing and Business Strategy Review and profiled in Sloan Management Review.

Prior to joining The University of Arizona, she was a visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she taught undergraduate and MBA classes on industrial marketing and marketing strategy. She has received teaching awards at both the University of Illinois and the Pennsylvania State University.
