Shyam Jha

Shyam Jha is a managing director at SC Capital Partners, an investment banking and private equity firm with offices in Tucson, Arizona, and Newport Beach, California. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Eller College of Management.

He teaches classes in corporate strategy, strategic innovation, and management of technology in Eller MBA programs. Jha has more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications, and information technology covering marketing, product management, venture capital, and business development. He was part of the original executive team at Corvis and was a significant contributor to the $1.1 billion IPO in 2000.

He has also served as VP of business development at Nortel’s Carrier Packet Solutions business, director of product management at Digital Equipment Corporation and in the personal computing business unit of Hewlett-Packard. Before moving to the United States, he lived and worked in Switzerland, France, UK, Singapore, and India. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, with a bachelor of technology in electrical engineering and holds an MBA from Oregon State University.
