Stan Reynolds

SRP Professor of Technology, Public Policy, and Markets
Department of Economics

Stanley Reynolds is Professor of Economics, SRP Professor of Technology, Public Policy, and Markets, in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. From 1998-2001 he served as head of the Economics Department at Arizona and as vice dean from 2004-2008.
 
He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Miami University (Ohio) in 1976 and his Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University in 1983. He has been on the faculty at The University of Arizona since 1982.
 
Professor Reynolds' expertise is in industrial organization, energy economics, and corporate strategy. He has published his research in leading professional journals such as, American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, The RAND Journal of Economics, and the International Economic Review. He has given testimony on energy policy to the Arizona legislature and the Western Conference of State Attorneys General.

Professor Reynolds has experience as an economics expert in antitrust litigation and as a consultant for a petroleum company. His current research examines the performance of wholesale electricity markets and strategic pricing of corporate services.
