Admissions

What is the application deadline for the Eller Executive MBA?

Applications received by April 1 receive priority consideration. All applications must be received by May 15.

What types of students are admitted into the EMBA program?

The Eller Executive MBA accepts students from a broad range of professional backgrounds: corporate executives, entrepreneurs, physicians, engineers, public sector employees, people working in non-profit organizations, and more.

What they share is substantial professional experience. Students with less than 7 years of significant professional experience must be sponsored by their organization based on exceptional potential and performance.

How does the Eller application process work?

Applicants complete an online application form and essays while procuring letters of recommendation, an endorsement, and transcripts. They also pay a $100 application fee. The Admissions Committee will review completed application packets and identify viable candidates for an interview — preferably in-person, but alternately by phone. The Admissions Checklist includes details.

When will I know if I've been accepted into the program?

We admit students on a rolling basis following review of application materials and an interview. If accepted, you will have approximately four weeks in which to make your decision and submit an enrollment fee to confirm your spot in the class.

Costs

How much does the program cost?

The Eller Executive MBA costs $54,000. The price includes program materials, most meals, and all necessary accommodations at a local hotel for all nights between class days. It does not include expenses for the international trip during Module 12.

What types of scholarships and financial aid are available?

We offer the Community Leadership Scholarship for MBA candidates from public sector or non-profit organizations who cannot otherwise attend due to financial constraints. The Community Leadership Scholarships provide partial funding. Awards depend on the number of applicants. Applicants must meet all admissions requirements, submit a letter requesting scholarship consideration, and apply by the April 1 deadline..

Applicants are also eligible to apply for federal funding through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants can apply online and work with the The University of Arizona Student Financial Aid office for federal financial aid.

Can I make payments?

You may pay tuition in full or in four payments of $13,500 over the course of the program.

Features and Benefits

Is this the same as a regular MBA program?

The degree you earn will be a fully accredited Master of Business Administration. However, the curriculum structure is very different from the regular Eller MBA and most MBA programs. Also, because participants are all high-level professionals, some of the more basic elements of MBA knowledge are bypassed in favor of more advanced topics.

How much will I be in class?

For most of the program, classes meet every other weekend, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with breaks and lunch. The program begins with a 7-day module, and there is a 4-day module in the middle of the program, as well as a 10-day international trip. The program lasts 14 months as opposed to the 24 months required by a traditional MBA.

Where are classes held?

All classes are held at our Scottsdale Campus, with accommodations at a nearby hotel.
