Associate professor of accounting Daniel Bens pursues research in the areas of capital market research in accounting, voluntary disclosure, and real investment effects of financial accounting choice. View faculty profile.

Professor of economics Price Fishback is involved in a long-term study of the political economy of Roosevelt’s New Deal during the 1930s that examines both the determinants of New Deal spending and loans and their impact on local economies throughout the U.S. He is continuing his work on state labor legislation during the Progressive Era, and is editing and contributing to a book on the government’s role in the economy from colonial times to the present designed for readers who are not specialists in economics. Brian Lesk Professor of Organizational Behavior Russell Cropanzano’s primary research areas include perceptions of organizational justice as well as the experience and impact of workplace emotion. View faculty profile.

Associate professor of finance William Maxwell researches corporate finance, debt markets, and corporate governance. A recent paper examines the effects of regulation on the bond market. View faculty page.

Associate professor of management and organizations Lisa Ordóñez studies judgment and decision making with applications to management and consumer behavior, as well as judgments of failure. A paper-in-progress examines decision making in high-stakes situations, using play data from the 2005 NFL season. View faculty profile.

Senior lecturer Steven Permut is a three-time winner of the Distinguished MBA Faculty Teaching Award. He is an active consultant to over 50 major corporations in a dozen countries in the area of marketing strategy and new technology. He has also held advisory positions on the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, National Academy of Sciences, National Engineering Consortium, and the United Nations Centre for Transnational Corporations. Diza Sauers has taught communication in its various practices at The University of Arizona for the past 15 years. Currently, as the Assistant Director of the Business Communication program, she oversees the development and execution of the MBA core communication courses, serves as an Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellow, and supports both graduate and undergraduate experiential learning initiatives as a communication consultant.
