Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU-Wien), Austria
New Program offered Summer 2110:
The program, which runs from May 16 – 28, 2010, is geared towards MBA students who want a well-rounded short-term academic program. The theme of the program is Doing Business in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and features lectures by WU professors who are experts in the field of CEE Business strategies. In addition to lectures, students are also taken to some of Austria’s and Hungary´s top international companies and participants also visit two CEE region countries: Hungary and the Slovakia.
Traditional WU Programs
WU-Wien offers over 2,000 courses in German and about 100 courses in English. The English program offers concentrations in the following areas:
- Business skills
- Economics and Trade Management
- Finance, Investment and Accounting
- Human Resources and Organizational Behavior
- Management in Organizations
- Management Information Systems
- Marketing
- Regional and European Studies
Term Dates
- Fall: Early October to late January
- Required Orientation is held in Mid-September
Registration Deadline: May 15 (SASE deadline: April 15).
- Spring: Mid-February to late July
- Required Orientation is held in early February
Registration Deadline: November 15 (SASE deadline: October 15)

Language Requirements
Although the classes our students will take are taught entirely in English, WU offers a two week program covering Austrian Culture which will help students adjust to living in Vienna as well as intensive German language courses for exchange students. These classes start two weeks rpior to the start of the semester.
