Paulo Goes

Dr. Paulo Goes came to the Eller College in 2008 from the University of Connecticut, where he co-founded a unique
university-corporate partnership with General Electric called edgelab, and headed the Center for Internet Data Research and Intelligence Services.
He holds both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computers and
information systems from the University of Rochester (1987 and 1991). In addition, he holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, 1979, and an MS in production engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1985.
His research interests include e-business, online auctions, emerging technologies and innovation evaluation, confidentiality and security issues, and database technology and management. Goes’ articles have appeared in Information Systems Research, Management Science, Operations Research, Management Information Systems Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Communications of ACM, Decision Sciences, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and IEEE Transactions on Computing, among others.
Goes is currently senior editor of Information Systems Research. He is also associate editor of Management Science and POMS. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Management Information Systems, and previously served on the editorial boards of Decision Sciences, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and Journal of Database Management.
