In addition to being a member of a diverse and vibrant learning environment, you will have access to a host of international exchange opportunities in a wide variety of countries, international summer project work in developing markets, as well as challenging international business courses in virtually every subject. Dual MBA/Master of International Management DegreeIf you want a more intense focus on international business, you can obtain a dual Eller MBA/Master of International Management degree in three years. This degree is offered in partnership with the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.
Curriculum & International TripsEller offers a number of courses aimed at providing you with a deep understanding of the political and business environments, institutional competitiveness, or financial depth of a particular region around the world. While we are committed to providing a strong academic curriculum, we realize that some of the best learning occurs out of the confines of a classroom. As a result, we’ve designed courses that include trips to locations around the world under the auspices of the faculty member as part of the curriculum. Scheduled trips for 2009: The Eller MBA program is sponsoring tow optional yet recommended international trips in January of 2009. The trip will not conflict with any classes and is an opportunity to add a hands-on international experience to your education. Trip 1: The trip is scheduled for January 6th to January 16th, 2009 and we will be going to Singapore and Vietnam. The faculty committee has agreed to begin Spring 2009 classes the Tuesday following Martin Luther King Day, to enable the maximum participation in this trip. Cost estimate: $2,400 Land (double occupancy); $950 Single Room Supplement (if you want your own room); Airfare: $1,300. These costs will vary slightly until we have the confirmed number of trip attendees. This includes hotel, breakfast daily, 6 lunches, 2 group dinners, roundtrip transfers, and cultural tours. Registration and trip insurance information is also available. Trip 2: The trip Chile and Argentina from January 1st to January 10th, 2009. This trip will be approximately: $2,100 Land (double occupancy); $600 Single Room Supplement; Airfare $1,500. Again this will vary slightly, but will include the same types of features as the Asia trip. Registration information will be provided soon. If you are interested, please let us know ASAP. We have a limited number of slots available and need to have a head count by the first day of school. Email Kristina Wagner at kristina@eller.arizona.edu if interested.
